The Sanford Community Redevelopment Agency sunsets on December 31, 2025.

  • CRA New Construction, CRA Commercial Redevelopment, and CRA Facade Grants must be approved by the CRA Board prior to sunset date December 31, 2025.
  • Projects that are approved by the CRA Board for CRA New Construction, CRA Commercial Redevelopment, or CRA Facade Grants must commence construction activities prior to sunset date December 31, 2025.
  • Projects that are approved by the CRA Board for CRA New Construction, CRA Commercial Redevelopment, or CRA Facade Grants must be completed no later than December 31, 2026.
  • CRA Special Event Grants that are approved by the CRA Board, must be approved and take place by no later than sunset date December 31, 2025.
  • Any approved CRA project that does not adhere to the timelines shared above becomes null and void.

  • Aggressively pursue redevelopment/revitalization to enhance economic vitality and livability
  • Integrate the downtown-waterfront in function, activity and transportation
  • Improve CRA district conditions in both physical and social quality while preserving historical significance

Budget

The Sanford Community Redevelopment Agency (SCRA) adopts a budget annually. The annual budget is approved by the SCRA in July of each year after following the required Public Notice process. The budget is then incorporated into the City’s annual budget and adopted by September of each year pursuant to the City’s Public Notice process. Budgets can be amended from time to time. The following budgets are hereby made available to the public and will remain posted along with amendments for no less than two (2) years.
